Description
This is a typical farm scene in the state of Wisconsin. Many different fields below, such as corn fields, grain or wheat growing and other crops just beginning to grow in the brown rich dirt. An old fence post with rusted barbed wire sits atop a stone ridge that is covered in summer wildflowers such as pink cone flowers, yellow cone flowers, blue chicory and white Queen Ann's Lace. A few cows are grazing in the barnyard beside the old red barn on the homestead. The white farmhouse and windmill complete the serene landscape with distant hills in the background. This watercolor painting was created from fond memories of our visits back to our roots.
