Description
Inspiration for this lovely white country church landscape painting came to me while driving on a country road during the summer back in Wisconsin. We saw a plethora of bright blue chicory mixed in the white Queen Anne's Lace plus a few orange and yellow wildflowers as well all clinging to the edge of all the little narrow back roads. Then we passed through a tiny community called Johnstown Center and there high on a hillside next to the colorful roadside flowers sat this lovely little white country church. I kept both images in my heart until I could return to my studio and create this serene watercolor.
