Sofie's Balloons is number four in the Sofie and Mittens series. This ink and watercolor drawing by Marilyn Smith was created illustrating a delightful, impish little "free-spirit" girl with red hair and glasses, that has her own sense of style and is not intimidated by "correct colors" or combinations in her wardrobe! Most of Sofie's outfits fall into the category of vintage styles. She loves wearing hats and her favorite boots. She is a caring, fun-loving, but old-fashioned child who loves to try new adventures. Sofie also has her orange tiger kitty named Mittens, that is always by her side in every adventure. Today Sofie and Mittens are going for a walk with lots of colorful balloons. Mittens even has a green one tied to his tail!
