Description
The peachy colored blossoms of the Prickly Pear cactus plant take center stage in this Arizona desert landscape watercolor by Marilyn Smith. A blue-green Broad-billed Hummingbird is also in the foreground, hovering over the gorgeous blooms. Desert weeds and drying plants surround the cactus and rocks in front of a softly muted background of pale blue skies and layers and layers of Southwest red mountains. Saguaro cacti are scattered about on the desert floor as the soft sun rays make their way toward the Prickly Pear plants.
