Along The New Mexico Trail

Medium
Painting - Watercolor
Description
Driving along Highway I-40 across the northern portion of New Mexico, you will see numerous cliffs in many red hues. Among the red rocks, are scattered foothills that are dotted with dark green bushes that are considered trees in the high desert regions of the Southwest. It is nearly impossible to capture the true beauty of this area with its' old rustic fences, curled with rusty barbed wire. Sometimes there will be cattle grazing around the trees. Other times there could be horses wandering in the grass. This watercolor is meant to portray that feeling of vast wilderness even beyond what the rancher has fenced in.
