Description
"Sunrise Stampede" was recently chosen for use on the TV series, "Longmire" which runs on A&E. Episode 302 will air in June of 2014.
Ever since I visited Monument Valley, I have wanted to try a painting
that would include some of the vast beauty of this area .
Unless you have been there, you can't imagine the size of the "Mittens"
and I could not begin to portray their overwhelming stature!
Monument Valley is on the Navajo Indian reservation in northern
Arizona and into Utah. It is a wonderful place to visit
with a drive-thru loop and many vistas and viewing areas
to stop and enjoy.
Many western movies were made in the tribal park, including
several starring John Wayne.
The entire area is breathtaking and a must see for everyone!
