Description
I took several photographs of the Desert Spiny Lizard that I saw roaming around in the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix, AZ. They are a very interesting desert species of wildlife and are quite large compared to the ordinary geckos that wander all over the area. He posed for several pictures that day and didn't seem to mind being in the public eye.

Marilyn, Great photo of this spiny lizard, my son used to have one and I was always looking for a good place to take a photograph of him to make it look like it was in his natural habitat. You have done a great job of doing that here. Love the great clear color formations that the lizard is sitting on the great clarity of the lizard. Fantastic photo, fav, voted, google and tweet promoted and selected as my Pay It Forward in the Wisconsin Flowers and Scenery group

Thank you so much John! The lizards wander all over the Botanical Garden so it was easy to catch him on the rocks!
