Description
This crazy little painting all developed after I had a dream about painting a wildflower scene with a log cabin on the hillside. I never had that experience before! In my dream, it was an acrylic painting but I decided to try it as a watercolor. The summer of 2013 was a perfect one in Wisconsin for all the various wildflower species. Perhaps while driving around during the early evening hours, trying to see how many deer we can watch and enjoying all the fields of wildflowers, it triggered the vision I had in my dream. We always see so many new sets of twin deer and they are a delight to watch. I needed something on the old rustic sign board so 'No Hunting' seemed a perfect choice. My goal was to portray all the different colors of cone flowers plus, black-eyed Susans, wild phlox, yellow daisies, I hope you enjoy roaming all around this painting to take in every detail!
