This watercolor painting of the Texas Canyon view in southeastern Arizona was inspired by photos that I took while at a rest area near Wilcox and Benson, Arizona. The many stacked rock formations with granite boulders is an interesting sight. This view was particularly outstanding as the morning sun was still low in the sky creating a beautiful glow on the golden grasses and the edges of the balancing rocks. Many yucca plants were dried in the late summer heat and the mesquite trees were plentiful in the landscape.
