Yes, we have snow in Arizona! Yesterday (February 20, 2013) there was a major storm watch all over Arizona and snow levels were down to 2500 feet. That included the Superstition Mountains, Four Peaks, and various other mountains surrounding the Valley of the Sun, or Phoenix, Arizona.
Of course, the higher elevations received lots of good snow for skiing.
The Superstition Mountains are well known for their Lost Dutchman Gold Mine that has never been found since the story began.
Lots of people believe the old mine is somewhere near Weaver's Needle, which is a prominent rock formation well into the Superstition Mountains.

Gorgeous panoramic view of this lovely landscape, and snow in Arizona, I am sure, as I heard about it on the news. But, does one ever hear about the tons of snow in Wisconsin? LOL One thing about living in Wisconsin or the Midwest, is "just wait a minute" and the weather will change! LOL This is one lovely shot with so many awesome elements, Marilyn! Love it! f/v
Marilyn Smith replied:
Thanks Randy. Snow in Wisconsin is a "given"! Here we get all excited if snow appears on the Superstitions. :D
