This little male Anna's Hummingbird loves to sit in my lemon tree so that he can guard the feeder hanging close by. These hummers get very used to humans and will sit and chatter away whenever you are near. Sometimes they will even buzz the kitchen window or the front door as if to tell anyone inside that their feeder needs filling! We have also had them hover between the newspaper and our face while we are trying to read. We are never sure if that is just curiosity or that they are trying to tell us something. Nevertheless, they are the most entertaining little birds on this great planet!
