Artist's Description
"it's A Spring Thing" is a commission watercolor painting that was requested to include lots of springtime birds, cheerful flowers and bright colors. I wanted to feature the male and female cardinals since they are a favorite of the customer. Other bird pairs in the painting are chickadees, slate juncos, and bluebirds on the bird house. Red climbing roses surround the rustic bird house which is hanging in a blooming apple tree. The mottled background is various shades of green indicating many leaves on those trees. This is a very cheerful springtime image that is perfect for any bird lover.
