Artist's Description
This watercolor painting is a still life that includes pieces from my kitchen that are very old along with a couple new items. The Ball canning jars in the gorgeous blue-green glass belonged to my Mother. I have treasured the one with the snap lid for many years. Cinnamon sticks keep nicely in there! I loved the way the sunlight from my window brings out the various shades of blue, green and blue-green in the glass pieces. The blue wine bottle actually glows in my window and finding the right paint color for that was a challenge. I love the ribs in the green vase or jar as they make the light so interesting as the blue bottle shines through also. I added shiny reflections on the table to accent the sunshine coming in the kitchen window. I think this would make a lovely piece of kitchen art for the right person. Marilyn Smith
