Artist's Description

The evening sun is setting on a beautiful Amish farm field containing grain shocks that the farmers stacked by hand in neat rows. This is a lost art, but it was the way of farming before air conditioned tractors and machinery took the place of horses, wagons and hired hands. It is such a nostalgic feeling to drive past these farms and be able to see rows and rows of grain stacked like it was in the "old days"! This photo was taken near a little village in Wisconsin by the name of Dalton. It is a large Amish community in the central area of the state.
