Artist's Description
This beauty is one of the most peaceful spots with awesome
scenery in the Saguaro Lake area in Arizona.
The Salt River meanders along the cliffs that are so colorful.
Many of them are as red as Red Mountain, which is near this area also.
This spot is right along the Bush Highway as you head to the Saguaro Lake recreation area which is just northeast of the Phoenix area.
There are several campgrounds around this scene too.
I was struck by the intense color of this scene and how
brilliant the sky was that day, creating such gorgeous reflections in the river below. Arizona seems to have the bluest skies in the USA.
Driving to this area is a wonderful experience, taking in the beautiful surroundings on twisting and turning roads.
It is well worth a trip out into the countryside to see it all.
However, I would recommend driving slowly to enjoy all this wonder.
