Description
A bit of morning sunshine is bouncing off of this tiny little gray, white and yellow bird, known as a Verdin. This is an adult male perched on the bright purple flowers of a Bougainvillea plant in the Arizona desert and surroundings. These friendly, but shy, little guys love to rip into many of the flowers such as the Cape Honeysuckle to retrieve some of the nectar. They can be seen on Aloe vera plants as well as hummingbird feeders!
