Description
The original watercolor of Little Artist was painted for one of my granddaughters, who loved to paint like Grandma!
I had taken photos of her coloring and painting and decided
to combine many of the components into one piece of artwork for her.
I know that her Mother would not have allowed her
to paint on her bed!
However, her lovely handmade quilt seemed to be
the perfect base for this piece.
The doll on the right hand side of her bed
is one that I made for each granddaughter
when they turned two years old.
They all called me Mimi, (named by the 1st granddaughter) so,
naturally the dolls became known as Mimi Dolls.
The girls still have them even though they are very grown up now.

Your creation struck me immediately, as I was looking to surprise another artist! You captured innocence and a child's natural creativity. My mom gave me Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls after I was an adult. I cherish them. L/F
Marilyn Smith replied:
Meryl, thank you so much for the wonderful comments and votes. The doll on the right is one I made for her many years ago. Hannah is now posting photos on FAA!

Oh, Nava! How ironic you would choose this picture. That is Hannah, my granddaughter who is all grown up and just started posting here on FAA! Thank you so much. :D
