Description
This is a watercolor painting on canvas paper. It is a new experiment for me, and I did find the canvas paper a unique texture which makes the watercolors more difficult to control. I started by dropping colorful splashes of paint, then after it dried, I was able to envision the finished objects in the fall scene. The old, abandoned barn seemed to stand out to me first, Then I decided it needed old, weathered fence posts and rusty barbed wire in the foreground. Wild sunflowers take center stage. This country landscape could be anywhere you choose!
