Description
The sun is setting underneath distant storm clouds, leaving an orange glow in the sky in this watercolor painting of heartland country. The wheat fields are glowing in the sunset with stalks that are ready for harvest. Tomorrow will be harvest day. In the foreground are detailed stems of wheat seeds that are concealing a local pheasant that is doing his own harvest. The rolling farm lands with a variety of crops are looking very much like a patchwork quilt. The homestead down below is getting settled in for the night as a few lights are on yet in the barn as well as in the farm house. A few neighboring farms can be seen as well as a local white church with its' tall steeple in the background.
