While walking in our neighborhood in Chandler, AZ, we could hear a rooster crowing and then a rather strange noise following that. When we walked a little farther down the street past the neighboring farm, we then could see the huge male rooster on the fence next to a very young protege that was obviously having a hard time learning the correct sound to make while crowing! It was a sight to behold to see that little rooster trying with all his might while his Dad was looking very proud of his son. I knew right away that I had to record this and what better way than in a watercolor painting.
