Description
This still life watercolor called "Shed With A View", is an old, abandoned ranch shed in the Arizona desert that has seen better days. It is made up of patchwork boards and tin panels to fill the gaps where many have broken and weathered over time. Old, rusty nails and hinges hold this shed together for an undetermined future. The window within the old shed has since broken apart but the desert view of the saguaro cactus and the distant mountains still remain. A rickety wagon wheel leans against the outside wall next to a blooming prickly pear cactus. Inside the shed old tools rest in wooden barrels with a rusty pail and kerosene lantern nearby. The rusty horseshoe hanging on the open door may bring luck to the next person to enter. The two tiny mice have found a hiding place in the shadows of the wooden barrel containing an old rope. This very rustic country watercolor painting by Marilyn Smith will look great in your farmhouse or cabin decor.
