Description
First Place Winner in Fun Toys Contest on FAA January, 2015.
This collage of a 1950's watercolor paperdoll was created by myself when I was still in high school and working on projects for my art class. I probably just didn't want to grow up so decided to draw a doll and all of her clothes. Then I chose to color them with watercolors so I could practice on shading and design. I loved art so much that I majored in it, even in high school and received an award at graduation for being the first student to take 4 years of art in high school. I discovered this collection recently in an old file so decided it would make a great collage for a child's room. I hope someone sees her charm and delightful old style clothing and chooses to have a print made for someone special. I can picture this in a little girl's room with a great mat and frame on it. If you click on framed prints, you will get all kinds of options for matting and framing possibilities.

Oh, this is so much fun, Marilyn!! I loved paper dolls, and you created this beautifully!! I think I want one for my room, but you're right, it would probably be most appropriate for a little girl's room. :-) F/V Paying a visit from WI Flowers and Scenery.
Marilyn Smith replied:
Penny, you certainly could have one if you like! We are really just little girls at heart, right? Thanks for sharing my love of paper dolls!
