Description
This watercolor painting by Marilyn Smith was created to show the display of the old colored bottles in the window of the antique store in Oatman, Arizona. The shop is called the Glory Hole and also holds a museum. This porch area is just a small portion of the large two story building that was built in 1904. At one time, Oatman was a booming gold mine town and is now considered a ghost town on old highway Route 66. This building was formerly Oatman Drug Co., a bus stop, the post office, a bank and a health club. It is a great tourist area now with the attractions of days gone by. Wild burros roam into town on a daily basis in hopes of getting treats from the public.
