Description
Number three in a series of photographs of the night-blooming cereus cactus found in the southwest desert area of Arizona. The beautiful pink and white blossoms open during the night and fade away during the hot sun of the afternoon. I never tire of seeing these amazing flowers with their delicate detail and gentle blending of the deep wine colored outer petals gradually fading to pink and then white into the yellow pollen-bearing stamen in the center.
