Description
If I had a ranch, it would be this very place! I designed my ranch house so that I could have the perfect mountain view of the red rocks from my second story balcony. My house would have to be adobe in the Santa Fe style architecture. I do have lots of trees around for some shade from the heat and the Palo Verde tree is blooming in this painting. I am surrounded by saguaro cacti as well as other varieties, such as the Santa Rita prickly pear in full bloom with yellow flowers, a fishhook barrel with orange flowers, Occotillo with red spikes, a red bougainvillea, yellow prickly pear and agave plants. I have to have lots of clay pots and Mexican pottery all around the house also. A budding artist is doing a southwest scenery painting in the courtyard that is covered in stone pavers. I have a hitching post in case the neighbors take a horse ride and want to sit a spell on my porch to have a beverage and pet my golden retriever. Of course, I need to see the wild horses wandering nearby too. There is so much to see in this painting but it has all the things I love and would have at my ranch! Enjoy your trip around the ranch finding all there is to see!
