Description
This miniature painting was created as a quick watercolor sketch after a visit through Jackson Hole, Wyoming on our way to Yellowstone National Park. We traveled along the highway, just enjoying the beautiful Grand Tetons mountain range when we spotted moose wading in the shallow waters next to the highway. I pulled off the road, jumped out of the car with my camera to get the perfect shot, when the bull moose raised his head up to look at me. I decided very quickly that I was a little too close to such a huge animal so I ran back to the car without getting a photo!
It was a "Close Encounter of the Moose Kind" !
This painting is just a memory of that fantastic trip through some of the most beautiful scenery in the country.

Beautifully created painting of the Tetons and moose. This area is one of my favorite vacation spots and you have truly captured the spirit of the Tetons. f/l
