Description
If you visit the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix, Arizona, you will see this lively purple wall accented with several colored pots filled with various plants and flowers as you are entering the herb garden area. This display changes on a regular basis so it is different every time you visit. Butterflies float among the plants, like this Desert Swallowtail with its' yellow and black wings. Behind the purple wall are many trees and plants that form a great background. In this watercolor, I chose to mottle that area to make the colorful pottery stand out.
