Description
After a recent visit to the El Encanto Mexican restaurant in Cave Creek, AZ, I was again inspired to recreate the beautiful archway embellished with hand painted Mexican tile and a wrought iron gate leading to their "enchanting" patio. I wanted to capture the dappled sunlight on the gorgeous old stone and brick tiles on the floor. The gorgeous painted pots that adorn the arch are filled with plants and flowers. Next to the dining patio is a pond that attracts a variety of wildlife. I added the peach-faced love birds for a little extra interest in this watercolor painting. The restaurant has been in business there since 1989 and has become an icon in the valley.
