This ink and watercolor drawing depicts the popular Concert On The Square in Madison, Wisconsin.
This event is held in front of the Capitol Building, usually Wednesday evenings during the summer months for several weeks.
Hundreds of people attend this fun event every week.
It would be hard to find a more festive occasion as people begin to bring
blankets, tables and chairs to be placed early in the afternoon.
Everyone wants a great spot in order to listen to the Madison Symphony Orchestra while they dine on a picnic lunch in the park and possibly enjoy some great wine.
What could be more enjoyable than listening to wonderful music, eating great food and visiting with friends on a warm summer evening in the park?
I created this piece of artwork while employed at the
Dean Medical Center there. I was commissioned to design birthday
cards for all the employees within the Center.
