Description
This watercolor still life painting of antique and vintage toys and books includes a celluloid baby doll that is over 100 years old. He belonged to my Mother and she had named him "Keithie". I also played with him when I was a little girl and I am surprised he has survived so many years. The teddy bear in the display belongs to me as well as the 1940's tin wind-up toy, GI Joe and His K-9 Pups. I added a set of Jacks and a few old ABC wooden blocks from the same era. My brother and I also had a complete set of Bill Ding wooden clowns that were a balancing challenge as they all hooked together be their hands and feet. The Mother Goose book is also my old favorite nursery rhyme book.
This still life of toys would make a great addition to any child's room or baby room as it is a very colorful and nostalgic piece of art by Marilyn Smith.

It's a lovely painting, Marilyn. The placement of each element is well organized. It's wonderful that these nostalgic objects are being preserved in this way.
