A serene, quiet setting for an adobe hacienda landscape painted in watercolor by Marilyn Smith. Many varieties of cacti, including the infamous saguaros, prickly pear, red ocotillo or buggy whip, yellow brittlebush, are home to the Gambel's quail and the Anna's hummingbird. Over the ridge, the herd of mustang are beginning to appear. The sun is rising on a beautiful, peaceful Southwest desert setting, perhaps in the Arizona mountains! This imaginary scene is my "Happy Place".
