Description
The Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix, Arizona, has a wonderful trail exhibiting the various structures and living habitats of the former residents of the Sonoran Desert area. This little corral was all encased in fencing made from the ribs of the ocotillo plant from the desert. The ribs were used extensively for fencing since the thorns on them would definitely discourage any cattle or animals from trying to escape. These often took root in the ground and would eventually be covered with tiny green leaves.
