Description
This is a special piece for a special person that was recently missing in my life. Of course, the yellow ribbon indicates the longing for her return, however, it might also apply to families waiting for our troops to return from service. The path outside the window is empty now but someday will be full of life!
Thank you for stopping by my gallery! I am currently residing in Arizona and have previously exhibited in galleries in Arizona and Wisconsin. Having lived in both states, it has given me very diverse subject matter as is evident in the variety of art pieces I have posted here. I also have appeared in several art shows in both states and received various awards, including the Wisconsin Regional Art Show Travelling Exhibit Award for my watercolor 'Spring In Tlaquepaque'. While working for the Dean Medical Center in Madison, WI, I completed several commission pieces to be displayed in their clinics ('Comin' Home', 'The Catch', 'Little Mill', and Christine's Ride'). I also created their employee birthday card for several years in a row. I hope you will enjoy viewing my artwork. Just click on each gallery to view the art in that category, then click on any image to enlarge it.

What a beautiful painting. It stands alone but the symbolism and your explanation make it even more special.

Had to revisit, Marilyn, since now I know "the rest of the story"! Even the sunflowers are hanging their heads in sadness! lol Glad things are back to normal for your family, and surely happy for you all, as you are so well deserving of happiness.
